Why Do I Need a Contact Lens Consultation and Fitting?

Selecting contact lenses involves a detailed discussion about your lifestyle, health, and specific eye conditions. This conversation with your eye doctor is pivotal to determining the type of contacts that will provide maximum comfort and meet your visual needs.

Ensuring Comfort With a Contact Lens Fitting

The fitting process begins with measuring your cornea's curvature. This step is crucial to ensure the lens sits comfortably and correctly on your eye. We also take accurate measurements of your pupil and iris. We conduct a tear film evaluation to ensure your eyes remain well-hydrated.

Selecting and Trialing Contact Lenses

After selecting a suitable pair, you’ll enter a trial period. During this time, your eye doctor monitors the fit, movement, and your eye’s response to ensure the lenses provide the desired comfort and vision correction. Once the trial confirms the lenses’ suitability, your eye doctor will proceed to finalize your prescription. You’ll also receive instructions on lens care and hygiene.

Contacts Care and Follow-up

Following the fitting, your eye doctor will request follow-up appointments to monitor the lenses’ fit and your eyes’ adaptation to them. Should you experience any discomfort or issues such as dryness, it’s important to contact your eye doctor immediately. They may suggest alternative lens types, tweak your lens care routine, or adjust your wearing schedule.

Contact Lenses at Our Eye Care Center

Specialty Contact Lens

Easy Everyday Wear With Daily Contacts

Daily contact lenses, also known as daily disposables, are soft contact lenses used once and discarded at the end of the day. These lenses provide a convenient and healthy option for many contact lens wearers. Our daily disposables are crafted from high-quality materials and promise exceptional comfort and clarity, reducing the risk of eye infections and catering to those with active lifestyles or sensitive eyes.

Bi-Weekly and Monthly Contact Lenses for Extended Wear

Bi-weekly and monthly contact lenses are reusable lenses worn for longer than daily disposables but with regular cleaning and proper storage.

Following your eye care professional's instructions regarding wear schedule, cleaning, and replacement is crucial for both types of lenses.

Our collection of bi-weekly and monthly contact lenses blend comfort with practicality, catering to the unique preferences of our customers.

Advanced Bifocal and Multifocal Contacts

Bifocal and multifocal contact lenses are for individuals needing help seeing near and far distances. Bifocal contacts have two distinct lens powers — one for viewing objects at a distance and the other for seeing objects close up. Multifocal contact lenses have a range of powers for viewing objects at varying distances.

Whether navigating presbyopia or seeking a refined visual experience, our range offers state-of-the-art lens technology to cater to your unique vision needs.

Specialty Contact Lens

Specialty Contact Lens Solutions for Unique Eyes

Specialty contact lenses are designed for individuals with "hard-to-fit" eyes, meaning they have conditions or eye shapes that make it challenging to wear traditional contact lenses.

Types of specialty contact lenses include:

  • Toric Lenses for Astigmatism: These lenses have different powers in different parts of the lens and stay in place on the eye, providing clear and stable vision.
  • Rigid Gas-Permeable (RGP) Lenses: RGP lenses are firm lenses that maintain their shape on the eye, providing clear vision for conditions like astigmatism or keratoconus.
  • Hybrid Lenses: These lenses combine an RGP center with a soft lens periphery. They provide the clarity of RGP lenses and the comfort of soft lenses.
  • Scleral Lenses: These large-diameter gas-permeable lenses rest on the sclera — the white part of the eye — and vault over the cornea. Scleral lenses benefit individuals with keratoconus, severe dry eye, or irregular corneas.

Our specialty contact lenses are tailored for those with unique visual needs and hard-to-fit eyes, ensuring everyone can access effective vision correction. Each fitting is conducted with care and precision by our experienced eye doctors, guaranteeing a personalized solution that maximizes comfort, fit, and visual acuity.
