Dr. Danielle Baran, a Maryland native, completed her undergraduate education at the University of Maryland College Park, receiving a B.S. in Neurobiology & Physiology with a double major in Psychology. She was on the Dean’s List and a member of the Primannum Undergraduate Honor Society while attending the University of Maryland.
She continued her studies at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she was selected for the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. She graduated with the highest honors when receiving her Doctorate of Optometry in 2012. Dr. Baran earned clinical honors in her rotations in primary care optometry, contact lenses, and ocular disease/hospital rotations.
Dr. Baran is an active member of both the American Optometric Association as well as the Maryland Optometric Association. In her spare time, she enjoys the great outdoors, good music, and spending time with family and friends. She currently resides in Ellicott City with her husband and their cat, Monty.
